This means that our dental team considers your natural dental shapes when creating restorations or applying dental bonding. We also make sure that any restorations or replacement teeth that we place are appropriately sized for your smile.
We also use treatments that are highly customizable; we don’t believe in “one size fits all” treatments in our office!
One of the key ways that we can customize cosmetic treatments is by tailoring the color of your restorations and bonding to blend with your smile. Dental resin (which we use in dental bonding) can be shaded to match your existing teeth. Porcelain restorations are also colored to suit your overall smile. One thing to keep in mind is that dental bonding and restorations are not responsive to professional whitening treatments. For this reason, it is very important that you lighten your natural teeth (if that is one of your goals) before we craft your restorations or apply your dental bonding.
The materials that we use are also designed to look just like natural enamel. Once dental resin has cured it is strong, durable, and shiny. Porcelain also looks just like real enamel, which is why porcelain is used so often in dentistry.
